This ancient practice is structured around eight precisely designed movements that systematically balance the body's energy channels while cultivating the harmonious flow of Qi throughout the practitioner's being. Through regular practice of the 8 movements, the practice strengthens internal organs, improves flexibility, enhances respiratory function, and creates a profound sense of centered calm. 1)陽導陰長 Activates the body’s latent ability to absorb Nature’s Qi through “pore breathing”; stimulates energy circulation through the Ren and Du meridians. Good for those with respiratory discomfort. 2)陰陽交合 Strengthens the Belt meridian; improves spinal flexibility and coordination. Good for those with back problems, particularly beneficial for women’s health. 3)陰極陽升 Activates the Yang Qiao and Yin Qiao meridians; strengthens kidney function and lower back. Improves spinal flexibility and circulation. Helpful for those with kidney issues, joint pain, and sleep disorders. 4)元陽初發 Strengthens hand and foot energy channels through whole-body vibration; Enhances kidney function, activates the Wei meridians for overall energy balance. Good for those with joint pain and limb weakness 5)調和陰陽 A rocking exercise that coordinates forward-back weight shift with clench and release of one’s hands.Strengthens fine motor control and energy awareness. Creates harmony between internal organs. Good for those with digestive disorders (liver, gallbladder, spleen, stomach). 6)陰陽開泰 A movement emphasizing coordination between hand movements, head rotation, and breath control. Reduces symptoms of neurasthenia and headaches, develops spatial awareness and coordination. Good for those seeking mental clarity, improved cognitive function, emotional balance. 7)陰平陽秘 A standing meditation that connects oneself with Heavens and Earth through the Baihui and Yongquan acupoints. Purifies emotional disturbances and mental patterns; creates a profound sense of inner stability and presence. 8)開天闢地 The concluding movement guides Qi energy to permeate the entire body. With the foundation of the previous movements, the connection and flow between the energies of Heaven, Earth and Man is made apparent. Good at the basic level for those wanting to develop leg strength, balance, and improved digestion, but at a deeper level it promotes peace and clarity, and activates the flow of energy throughout all the meridians for holistic balance and rejuvenation.
